Let It Snow, Let It Snow, Let It Snow!!!

Well Christmas is in 15 days and we have only had a little bit of snow, but with the snow we have received the kids were able to build a little snowman and do a little bit of shoveling. They were so excited to put their boots on and go out. Taydem and Tyker shoveled off the basketball court and helped build the snowman. We are suppose to get more snow this weekend so hopefully we will have a white Christmas!

Thanksgiving Weekend!!

Wow we had such a great weekend spending time with family and friends. We had Thanksgiving dinner at my sister Misty's. It was such a great time and Jason's family was all their too. They are great people and fun to be around. The kids had a great time playing football and basketball outside. Then on Friday Misty and I hit the sales at 4:45 a.m. I am sure it was not as early as some of you crazy bats went but there was not to many things that I couldn't live without this year and we got what we went for and that is all that matters!! Then we my aunt Nancy came up and all the gals went to the Novemberfest. We have been going to that for my whole entire life since my aunt Nina runs the show there. Then we all went out to eat at Fredrico's then back home to our house for some good old games of "NUTS" and Dominoes. Our family has not played the card game "NUTS" for a long time but is a family tradition card game. On Saturday Texie did her first dance performance for this year she did such an amazing job and is such a great dancer. We love going to watch her and hopes she keeps it up!! There is a wrap up of the weekend. I love this time of year and look forward to many more card and domino games and spending time with family and friends!!

Big Football Guy

Lately Tyker has been such a character that I don't even know what to do sometimes. He wants to wear his football shirt or his aggie basketball jersey with aggie shorts all the stinking time. He puts on taydems Build a Bear helmet and wears it around the house all day!! He always wants to play football or basketball whatever he can get his brother to play with him that day. We have taken him and Taydem to play basketball at the rec-center while texie is at dance. so now he is constantly wanting me to drop him off to play basketball with the big guys. Mom me have practice with the big guys come drop me off. He has such and imagination that my other kids never really had. We are also potty training, so far he is doing very well. We have gone 4 days with no accident. I am not getting my hopes up because kids seem to do really well at first and then not so well for a minute so we are keeping our fingers crossed. I can't wait till I don't have to buy diapers anymore let alone change any!!!

Halloween 2008

For Halloween this year Texie decided she wanted to be a Oompa Loompa on Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory move. I decided to get busy making the costume the best that I could. I think all in all it turned out pretty cute!!! Taydem and Tyker wanted to be skeletons. We went trick or treating at my moms house with the family and aunt Nancy. It is always exciting when aunt Nancy is around!!

Family Pictures

A couple weeks ago my sister took some pictures of our family at Mack Park in Smithfield. Those of you that have not been their should go because it is an awesome place to take pictures. The kids did a great job at making sure they were ready when the wild child Tyker was actually looking where he needed to look at the right time. I think all in all they turned out very cute and thanks Cami for taking the pictures.

Labor Day Weekend

This weekend we had a couple of things planned. My family went to Snow Basin to ride the gondola up the mountain and hike around. The kids were so excited however Tyker did not know what to think when we hopped on the lift. It comes around really slow for you to get on and then it takes of pretty fast. His eyes were as big as dollars. It is so gorgeous up there and I would recommend anyone who hasn't gone up to do so. On the way back down there is this water hole where a mama moose and her baby like to hang out. We saw them laying there on our way down so that was fun for the kids. Then ryan and his friends decided they wanted to go camping. It was labor day and all so you all know that finding a spot to camp would be pretty tricky, we ended up at Newton Dam!! Yeah not my idea of camping but I went with the flow and had Ryan get all the stuff ready while I was at Snow Basin. When we got home we headed for the dam. Dave and Heather borrowed Jaren and Tony's trailer and they brought Tony's parents motor home or should I say the Hilton. They warned us it was big but we didn't realize it was going to be that big. We had a great time and thanks to the Hollingsworths and Barson's for inviting us, we need to do it again!!

Back To School!!

Well summer is officially over for us. School started yesterday and Texie was so excited she could hardly sleep. Her teacher is Mrs. Bennet. Texie seems to really like her and we are looking forward to a great year. Taydem is in kindergarten this year but he doesn't start until Thursday the 28th. His teacher is Mrs. Peterson. We went to Back to School night on Wednesday and met with his teacher. He is excited to go but mom is going to miss him at home with her.

Texie Special Day!!

On August 2, 2008 Texie was officially the newest member of the LDS Church. Her dad baptized her and confirmed her. This was Ryan's first experience using the priesthood power. He was pretty nervous as he was awake till three in the morning stewing over it. But those of you that know Ryan know how awesome he is with words. He did such a great job and I am so proud of him. Texie we love you and are so happy for the decision you made to get baptized and your sweet spirit you bring to our family. Thanks to everyone who came and made this day special for Texie. We have such great friends and family who we all love.

Arizona 2008

Crazy Month of June

Wow how time flies. This last month has been filled with all sorts of excitement. Texie and I made our trip to Arizona to visit with Uncle Tony, Aunt Lisa, Cam, Keegan and Savannah. We went down with Grandma Neal to watch Savannah's dance recital. Wow those girls are amazing dancers. It is like night and day compared to Utah. They truly devote their life to dance and spend hours upon hours dancing and it shows!! Savannah we are so proud of you and think that you are an awesome dancer. We had a great time spending time with them and can't wait to see them again. Thanks again for everything you guys did for us while we were and for letting me give Keegan a swirly in the toilet.

We also made a bus trip with the neighborhood kids up have lunch at Fred Rico's and then some Aggie Ice Cream. The kids get a kick out of riding the LTD and it was the first time for some of the kids in the neighborhood to ride it. We love our neighborhood and are so fortunate to have such awesome neighbors.

We also went camping in our new trailer we just bought. Grandma had a few days off and wanted to go so we took her up for a few days. We invited the Casey family up for the day Lexie says she has never been camping and wanted to go really bad. Dr. Dave took the kids and went to the river to catch some fish, while we stayed back and prepared our tin foil dinners. We had a great time camping and thank you Casey's for coming and spending the day with us and letting your kids spend the night in the trailer. The kids loved having them stay over and it was such a blast.

Memorial Day Weekend

I can't believe that it is the end of May and school is getting out. We had a great weekend even though the weather wasn't the greatest. Taydem played in a 4 on 4 soccer tournament on Sat. He had such a good time and played very well. That night Ryan's sister and her family were down from Boise so we had a little cook out with them and the family. It was good to see the boys and get to spend some time with them. On Sunday we went to church and then went to the cemetery with my Aunt Nancy. We go pay tribute to all the loved ones that have past away. The kids look forward to going to the cemetery and putting the flowers on the graves. We then had a little cook out again that night with my family. The kids played soccer out back at my mom's house. We then decided that Uncle Jason would go and take the kids out to see his friends horses. He loves to feed the horses but we weren't sure he would get on one and ride it, but he did. He had a perma grin the whole time on the horse.
Monday the weather was rainy all day so we did a little shopping and just hung out together as a family. All in all it was a pretty fun weekend!!

Tyker's Birthday Party!!

Saturday was Tyker's 2nd Birthday. We had a big B-BQ with our friends and family. The kids got to take a shot at the pinata to see if they could break it. The tie on the top came out of the pinata so we just had to break it on the cement. Tyker received some fun presents from everyone. Thanks to everyone who came and helped us celebrate his birthday.
